I love cats. I especially loved Stripes, my cat who used to talk to me and passed away last year. I decided to commemorate my loyal friend by basing this quilt on her image. Although Stripes was not black and white, I challenged myself to make a quilt of purely black and white fabrics for an international quilt group called Fifteen by Fifteen. The quilt was an exercise in playing with dark, medium and light values of strictly black and white prints and solid cottons.
The other quilts in the series are “Abstract Cat,” “Complementary Colors Cat,” and “Scrappy Collage Cat.”
