Artist Statement: | The Israel Quilters Association was challenged to make unique quilts from a fat quarter of the same fabric we were given. Inspired by the brightly colored fabric, which made me think of bird feathers, I went to the pet store and photographed a parrot. Guided by the fabric’s pattern, I cut feathers from the fabric and created a quilt of the parrot. |
