Artist Statement: |
This scene depicts the landscape at ancient Apollonia, the Mediterranean coastal town in Israel. It was a crisp cool day and the waters were a perfect blue. A sailboat far off in the distance caught my eye. Using the stained glass technique, I challenged myself to capture the beauty of this scene in this quilt.
