| Artist Statement: | I celebrated the publication of our book, “It’s All About the Face” in my 60th year by making a self-portrait quilt I called Happy at 60! using the techniques in our book. I chose green facial tones to show that it is more important to be believable than realistic. I embrace with excitement and fascination the inspiring journey into the world of fabric portraits and invite everyone to bring faces alive by collaging fabric and thread in a harmonized composition. |
