Why is quilting important to me?

Being surrounded by beauty raises people’s spirits and outlook. I am very conscious of the harmony I create through color and choice of fabric. My favorite subjects are scenes from Israel. I love taking my own photographs and recreating them in fabric. I paint with thread much like a painter uses inks and paint. If you can walk into one of my scenes, I’ve done a good job!

You have a great eye and a fine hand at recreating what you see around you!
(where did you find fall leaves though ??? I didn’t see many until January!!)
Thanks for sharing your craft with us

    Hi,
There is a maple tree across from our house and it has been shedding leaves for a while now. We live in Beit Shemesh. Where are you? Cindy

I’m in Givat Ze’ev…. my fig tree FINALLY turned yellow in December…. then the wind blew them all off in one weekend 🙂 Now it is raining a lovely hard winter rain… glad for the heat. Looking at the Dear Jane quilt website. Have you ever heard of the Dear Jane Quilt before? Very challenging!

I am not familiar with Dear Jane Quilts. I’ll check it out.
It’s raining hard here too. Finally. I heard there might be snow tomorrow. You would more likely see it than I.
Do you know Beth and Avi Stolper? They are also in Givat Ze’ev. Lots of kids. One girl is very low functioning. I met them when we all lived in Ginot Shomron, a lifetime ago (for me anyway). Please send my best if you know them. I’ve been in Beit Shemesh about 12 years now and in Israel 18.
I work at Pissott one day a week now. Do you ever get there? It’s a nice atmosphere. I am doing website work for them. At least it’s quilt-related.
    Have a good day. Cindy
